Guest: Richard J. Garfunkel - May 01, 07 | 11:10 am

Regarding Malcolm Hedges characterizations of the Democrats and how he believes that all of us are in “bed with Uncle Joe” and sing the “International” at bedtime to our progeny. (PS: I note that David Stockman, Reagan’s supply-side guru of no taxes on the rich, that raised deficits into the multi-trillions is now facing some harsh music. It looks like he’ll be whistling a different tune for the next number of years)

Ayn Rand Institute: Dr. Keith Lockitch - Nov 09, 06 | 10:28 am

Irvine, CA--On Wednesday the Supreme Court heard arguments on the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003, which outlaws a particular method of late-term abortion.

Ayn Rand Institute: Keith Lockitch - Sep 19, 06 | 9:33 am

Opposition to birth control is an assault on the pursuit of happiness.

The United States and the Republic of Korea (ROK) have enjoyed a close alliance for more than a half century. When South Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun met with George W. Bush in November 2005, an official White House statement summed up the relationship between the two countries: “The two leaders agreed that the alliance not only stands against threats but also for the promotion of the common values of democracy, market economy, freedom, and human rights in Asia and around the world.” In other words, South Korea and the United States contend that they stand together not only for strategic military reasons but also because of a strong overlap in economic and political philosophies.

Ayn Rand Institute: Christian Beenfeldt - Jun 08, 06 | 10:05 am

The recent ban on abortion in South Dakota is a victory for the "pro-life" movement - and thus, anti-abortionists claim, a victory for "the sanctity of human life." But is it?

Guest: Heather Moore - May 27, 06 | 9:04 am

Last spring, at least 26 children and four adults contracted life-threatening E. coli infections after visiting petting zoos at the Central Florida Fair in Orlando, the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City, and the Florida State Fair in Tampa. The E. coli bacteria was traced to six animals - two goats, two sheep, and two cows - used by Ag-Venture Farm Shows, the company that supplied the animals at all three fairs. The outbreak put fear into parents' hearts, caused a number of schools to cancel field trips to petting zoos, and prompted health officials to scrutinize barnyard exhibits more carefully.

Ayn Rand Institute: Alex Epstein - May 26, 06 | 8:52 am

Every Memorial Day, we pay tribute to the American men and women who have died in combat. With speeches and solemn ceremonies, we recognize their courage and valor. But one fact goes unacknowledged in our Memorial Day tributes: all too many of our soldiers have died unnecessarily--because they were sent to fight for a purpose other than America’s freedom.

Ayn Rand Institute: Glenn Woiceshyn - Feb 21, 06 | 5:37 pm

Banning any type of abortion to “protect the fetus” necessarily grants rights to the fetus.

Guest: Stephen Crockett - Feb 21, 06 | 10:04 am

It has always been known that more people will believe a lie, the bigger the lie is and the more often the lie is repeated. Talk radio as defined by the Republican Right mindset is completely based on lies. The entire way Republican Right talk show hosts present political events and issues are based on lies designed to deceive their listeners instead of educating them.

Ayn Rand Institute:

Glenn Woiceshyn

- Feb 03, 06 | 7:30 am

Banning any type of abortion to “protect the fetus” necessarily grants rights to the fetus. The federal appeals courts in San Francisco and New York were right to declare the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act unconstitutional. Such a ban constitutes a grave threat to women’s health and a violation of their rights and should be struck down.
